Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) is a new class of composite material manufactured from fibers and resin. For years, the engineers have searched for alternatives in order to reduce usage of steels and alloys due to possible corrosion problems, due to the high chemical resistance and corrosion resistant made the polymer composite material most suitable for the application in the marine environment. Due to the mechanical properties and the durability replaced steel and other alloys to polymer composite [1]. However, fibre reinforced resin matrix was only developed in the early of 1940's. After World War II, US manufacturers began to produce glass fibers and polyester resin. FRP with better mechanical properties make it become one of a new approach in civil, marine and aircraft applications.
