Cancer is an uncontrollable disease and one of the top listed causes of death worldwide. Currently, surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy are important primary treatments for cancer. In chemotherapy, many anticancer agents have been approved for cancer treatment. However, during chemotherapy, most of the drugs have side effects. Hence, the development of new highly efficient anticancer agents with low side effects necessary. In this context, Quinolines play s significant role in anticancer drug development because of their specfic function through a different mechanisms of action such as enzyme inhibitors, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis.
