Energy Engineering for Chemical Engineers

Energy is the capacity for doing work. It may exist in potential, kinetic, thermal, electrical, chemical, nuclear or other various forms. There are moreover heat and work i.e., energy in the process of transfer from one body to another. Chemical energy–Energy stored in the bonds of chemical compounds. Chemical energy may be released during a chemical reaction, often in the form of heat, such reactions are called exothermic. Elaborating different types of energy like Chemical Energy, Nuclear Energy, Electrical Energy, Radiant Energy, Light Energy, Motion Energy, Sound Energy from their origin or evolution to usage and storage has been highlighted in this book.
