We propose a gravimetric method that reduces the time for estimation of the dry matter content. We implement an oven device that achieves the measurement of the moisture content determined quantitatively as water content. The expectations of the moisture content of the paper samples all have nearly similar dispersions. The analysis of variance (ANOVA) is carried out in order to identify random effects in the measurements, and an SPSS Pearson correlation table is obtained, where the p-value shows no significant linear correlation between the moistures of the four samples of paper. The Boxplot of distribution of percentiles for the data sets from the experiments for the calculation of the moisture content for the paper samples is presented, and descriptive statistics, and Tukey’s Hinges quartiles are included. The procedure used estimates uncertainty from the information generated during the process of assessing precision. Finally, the type A evaluation of uncertainty of the measurement of moisture content is performed.
