An assessment of the role of ecosystem services in enhancing resilience

This study examined the role of ecosystem services in enhancing resilience of local community to climate change in Ngarambe Tapika Wildlife Management Area (WMA). The study aimed to identify forms of ecosystem services that can be gained from conservation of WMA, assess the ecosystem services which are mostly affected by the impacts of climate change, and evaluate the capacity of local community in conservation and management of Ngarambe-Tapika WMA ecosystem. Further, the study incorporated both quantitative and qualitative research. Purposive sampling was employed in selecting respondents for household questionnaire, focus group discussion and key informant interviews.
