The experimental nature of chemistry calls for laboratory experiences of students at all levels to be placed at the core of the curriculum planning and teaching-learning process. In a classroom situation, where chemistry concepts are imparted in a didactic way, students can be stuffed with facts and theories but without experiments they cannot experience the reality of chemistry as a science. Elaborating the importance of laboratory work in teaching of chemistry at senior secondary stage of schooling, this book attempts to analyze the relevance of prescribed chemistry laboratory experiments in the existing syllabus.
